Austere is gorgeous, there’s nothing to criticize about them. They’re great! 8/10

Mystifier is the one with 2 black guys right? That’s such a mean way to remember ‘em but you don’t see that everyday haha. And that is actually the only album I’ve heard from em! It was cool, good classic BM with that heavy bass and the low budget drums make it sound so cool. Only thing that could bother me from them is their guitar distortion combined with the low production, it tends to get a lil… Mechanic maybe? As if it was written on Guitar Pro hehe, I’ll give em 7/10!

But Roman Saenko is the man behind Hate Forest and Drudkh hehe. I guess it was my bad for simply overlooking everyone else and just saying “Neige + Roman” haha.

Send me a band and I’ll tell you what I think of it, if I’ve heard enough of it xD

Cause it’s fun!

ad-majorem-noctis-gloriam said: I hear what you say! But in case of Anorexia Nervosa (that is a great band), you talk about 5 years differences. In Watain it's 13 years. You get the point :D

Fair enough! xD I wish AN had 13 years u_u

ad-majorem-noctis-gloriam said: Dunno man. The essence of Watain is still the same to me. I mean, yeah sure production and sound changed but that's quiet normal. Who wouldn't have a better production to keep beking "kvlt"? ahah. Anyway I can understand what you say about it that things changes and blablabla. But the essence is still the same, sure they play a lot with the visual but still the same. Just the music change, couldn't stay the same, as Filosofem if quiet diffrent for Let Hvis Tar Oss

You’re right! But to me it did change, Idk perhaps I’m having a conflict of interest here cause I don’t really like ‘em and that is fucking up my objectivity xD Idk I like it when bands keep their essence, for example Anorexia Nervosa is my favorite band ever, since Hreidmarr and Xort joined on Sodomizing the Archedangel, the music evolved so much until Redemption Process, but that essence was there. On Watain’s specific case, from “Walls of Life Ruptured” to “Outlaw” there’s an abyss of difference, even their album and song names became a bit more “seller” haha :(

Dont get me wrong guys, I’m not saying selling out makes your music shit, I’m not that type of elitist dick head. But selling out your ideals is. Didnt we all love Devil’s Path Dimmu Borgir or Summer’s Dying Fast Cradle of Filth? Im sure lots of you know how the music industry works, and once you sign with big guys like Century Media, Road Runner, Season of Mist, you get a producer and that producer will transform your music into something more targeted to a correct audience based on the company’s marketing plan.

ad-majorem-noctis-gloriam said: So Immortal, Mayhem, Burzum and such all well known bad turn shit because they get big production and signed on big labels?

Nope, hell my album was produced in Tidalwave, I know what 80k soundslike and fuck I love it haha. Immortal I’ve always respected them, Abbath is an amazing musician. Burzum is Burzum, cant get more kvlt than Mr. Varg, Mayhem has been stuck playing the same style since they began, Darkthrone is a piece of shit because Fenriz from being all about BM, after saying that BM was not a lil rebel thing like Punk & Thrash and shit is now playing crust black thrash bullshit. I hate him -.- It’s not about selling out, I’d sell out anyday, as long as you keep your essence and your ideals and your music still represents it, there is nothing wrong with making big bucks out of it

hordshyrde said: I am a bit intrigued about your opinion on Watain. Would you care to elaborate on them? I am quite curious :)

Oh Watain, I have so much hate for these fucktards haha. Im not gonna lie around their Rabid Death’s Curse they were nice, nothing new but they were nice. Then shit got up Eric’s head and in 3 years, they were signed by Seasons of Mist and we all know even though Seasons of Mist handles pretty amazing bands, they all have betrayed most of their main ideals and started selling out. I mean they went from self-releasing 666tapes to Century Media Records and that was disappointing because it affected their sound too, I’m not gonna lie, 80,000 euro production sounds so wonderful, Legions Of the Black Light was a kick ass song, and so were many from Sworn To The Dark, but it was totally lost, it was nothing but basic riffs played over a pop skeleton with catchy lyrics and looks. I’d rather stay with Tsjuder, at least they’re still evil haha.

Everyone needs to take a second to appreciate and admire this Black Metal mastermind. He is Neb Xort, he created, produced, mixed, engineered and mastered everything (along with Hreidmarr) from my fav. band Anorexia Nervosa, but not only that, he’s also mixed, engineered, produced and mastered every single Alcest album along with Old Silver Key which is Hate Forest + Alcest band and much more bands like Seth, Latrodectus, The CNK, Vorkreist and so on… So yeah, appreciate this bastard for being so damn good.

For me, Black Metal stands for freedom, individualism, hate and unfolding of personality and spirituality. For the most, Black Metal sadly stands for bigotry, intolerance, childish rebellion, teenage angst, make up and senseless, caught in their own limited minds of uniformity and shit.
Fortunately, some of us are still able to think for ourselves.
